YO! Its time for some update.
Its been a busy week.. bowling 'A' Div, AJ Sports Carnival and test
s coming up.
Fisrt, A little update on bowling 'A' Div. 6 games each on Monday and Wednesday. We didn't report to school in the morning on monday instead we headed straight to Mac at Northpoint for Team breakfast and we cab down to OCC at 7. Only then we realise we were really early with the bowling alley yet to have their lights on except at the counter area. I would say I still felt excited, maybe a little more of nervousness despite taking part in and performed horribly at 'A' Div last year. Anyway, the 6 games on the first day was the most horrible 6 games I've played in a row this year. 6 games straight and none hit my target. Well, they were not even close to my target. Averaging 101?! GOSH. The entire 3 hours of bowling was a torture. Worse of all, I went back to school for GP.. just one hour of GP and nothing else. Well, we discussed about porverty and religions.
Anyway, some thought having training at OCC on tuesday afternoon was a bad idea cause we might drain ourselves and we still have doubles on wednesday. Despite felicia's prediction of less half the team might turn up, almost the entire team came, except for the few who still had lessons till 5 or even later. The training really helped and it really really did. I never felt so calm before with the coach watching. I was really screwed on Monday and tuesday was my chance to turn things right and not until i see my average improved that I felt better. Coach was really encouraging.
Wednesday, we left school at 10 30. Pretty early. We arrived at 11am and managed to watch the seeded boys play their last 2 games for singles. Maurice was playing. Well, after his game, he said something like "you look dao." I didn't catch it properly. But if what i heard was correct.. huh?! Do I?! I very de ok. hahs. Anyway, we had warm up and briefing and I was praying hard that tuesday training helped. I'm sure it did. My average for doubles was 133.6. Well, My average did improve but still its not good enough, still not on target. It could have been much higher if I had pick up my spares. My spares!!! I regret selling my power groove. No time for any regrets for now. Lets move on. Anyway, though my scores for doubles werer much higher, its still horrible. My overall average is being pulled down by my monday games. GRHH. Well, 2 more days to go. I'm going to do something. FOCUS and xinyi you can do it!
Lets move on to thursday. AJC Sports Carnival, just like it sounds, uninteresting. School ends at 2pm for all, with the school locking up the school gate preventing us from 'running away'. So, the class couldn't get out of school for lunch like we do almost every thurday. The canteen was packed and yeah, I was too lazy to queue for food, there weren't any space left to sit anyway. Ended up having some snack settling lunch for the day. We were allocated games according to our choice we made. But, we didn't have enough players for netball, which was what our class was allocated to. Of 6 girls wan shi, vanessa and myself still having competition going on we didn't play 'high risk' games. Rachel was on MC and yanfen in organising comittee. Only Mel was left to play. 1 against 6?! lols. Actually I was fine with playing but wan shi still had to help out at the badminton court and vanessa wasn't really feeling well we still didn't have enough players. Of everything to be blamed, blame it on the fact that we only have 6 girls in the class. I ended up at the squash court which wasn't part of the sports carnival. But, its still sports right?! Why wasn't there bowling for sports carnival. hahs. Played squash with the class people. A quarter of the class was there. Congrats to the class boys for winning the inter class(house) soccer and 3rd for 4x100m. Again we couldn't take part in 8x50m for girls cause we only have 6 girls!! Squashed till we were forced to go to the track to watch the cheerleading. Saw peiling, very cute. lols. After the event we headed for class dinner.
Deciding for a place to eat was a difficult task. Everyone had different opinions and preference. Not forgetting those low on budget being the last day of the month. First was pizza hut then suki sushi then sizzler, pasta mania until we settled for steamboat at AMK. Buffet was the right choice for the hungry people. Freeflow of food and drinks. Though the school I've been studying in all revolve around amk, it was the first time I had steamboat there. I did remember in sec school the place was always filled with people. But I also realise that, only if you have a big group, then steamboat would be fun. We ate and chat and continue eating and talking for 2 plus hours before most people was bloated. Though I could see that some wasn't that full afterall. lols. In my opinion, it was the class dinner that made the waiting throughout the sports carnival worthwhile. I also enjoyed squash just that I'm still learning.. hahs
well, some pictures to end off with...

A very blur group photo at the steamboat place.

At the central stage of AMK, before the grp splits to go home. Thank you to Mr passerby. heehee(:
One final shot. wan shi stranggling junyang!
