They are just inflexible! I know we can't change the way people think but I think the attitude sucks. What they want to do is just enforce their own ideas. No doubt, a lot of people don't treat bowling as a sports, even my parents think that way sometimes but can the school just be more flexible and allow us to voice ourselves. Its not like we want to give excuses to excuse ourselves from sports carnival, we didn't say we couldn't help out but we just want to minimise possibilities of injury to as low as possible. No doubt there are 4 days before our next game after the sports carnival, (touch wood) but how is it enough for any injury to recover considering the ball weight.
Firstly, the problem lies with the signing up system. It was a must to log in a team which leave some of us with no choice but to join our class to make up for the number. So, you say that its our fault to have choosen to make that choice?! You say bowling is just about throwing balls, why did Singapore school sports council consider ten pin bowling as one of their sports catogory. Why were we sweating like running taps during game play despite the air-con. Take it that I don't understand whatever the school has to take into consideration. But also accept the fact that we have our reasons. If adults have their reasons and opinion, we too. If they do treat us as young adults, let us be heard and I'm 100% sure, its not always that adults always make the right and best decision.
